My name is Pedro Reis and I’m a self taught visual designer. I have been working in the creative industry for the last 8 years, producing projects from concept to completion, for print and for the web. My main vocation is creative direction but as a freelancer, under the name of uxte, I have an extensive experience in the various areas of visual communication that go from web and interactive design, graphic design, corporate identity, marketing, advertisement, illustration, photography and event production.

I am originally from Angola but I lived most of my life in Portugal. For the last 8 months I’ve been living in Finland and I’m enjoying walking in the snow, skating on ice and having sauna. Knowing the Finnish culture has been quite an experience and this country has a lot to offer for a nature lover like me, but I do miss the sea and the sun.

Besides design I have some other interests that are part of my life experience and influence my work. Surf, bicycles, dance and traveling are the most relevant and while all are an important part of my life, surf is the one which I feel I can identify more easily.

I also like reading, cinema, music and experimenting sports and like in design I can’t really say what kind of job I like more or which style is my favorite, with books, movies, sounds and modality’s its the same, I can only be eclectic in my choices and prefer what is good in my opinion at that given time. So don’t worry I’m not going to put here a list of favorite things.

My profile wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the people that are closer to me. My family, friends (animals included), Riikka (my love) and the soon arriving baby.
